Have you ever met inconsiderate people who don't give up seats ? From stomp or real life ? Surely there'll be a few times you encounter it .
Okay wait . Actually hor , I myself last time , LAST TIME hor , used to pretend to sleep , or listening to songs so that I don't have to give up . Very tired ! But it's a very wrong thing to do , so better give up seats larh , there are more people that need seats than us !
There's a few incidents that made me super paiseh before . Hmm , I was scolded , or rather this uncle raised his voice at me for not giving up my seat to this guy carrying a child . Apparently I wasn't looking ( not on purpose ) but was using my phone to .. Perhaps , facebook ? So I didn't took notice , and I got scolded for no reason .. It was quite loud , so people around turned and stare .. Another incident was that there was an elderly man who came on board the train . Same thing , I was using my phone . He came over and asked ' Xiao Mei , can i have your seat ? ' And the same thing happened , people turned and look , but this time , they smirk -.- Lol , not like I don't wanna give up my seat right ? Sometimes when I wanted to board the train and bus , people chiong in and out like one kind .. We're suppose to let people alight the train the bus first , be patient a bit , wait awhile larh . Bus and train also won't run away , don't have to be so kiasu . And when it comes to the red line around evening time , it's super packed . Well , part of the reason is because people don't move in , and i have no idea why .. Same for the bus . Sometimes I gotta wait for 3 buses before it's my turn to board . The front of the bus will also be super squeezy , but the back will always be spacious . Also, some people like to talk loudly on the train like nobody's business be it on the phone or talking to friend . I detest it a lot ! How inconsiderate can some people actually get ?
However , my post today is not to complain . My reason today is to let you readers know that small effort can make a difference . For example , when a train stop , look up and see if there's any elderly , pregnant women or injured person . By looking up for a few seconds , it can brighten up somebody's day . Actually , by looking up , it's the best way to know whether or not anybody needs the seat more than you . Stand up , smile sincerely and offer the person your seat . They'll be more than willing to accept and say ' Thank You ' . You can also be a gracious commuter by allowing people to alight first , and move in whenever there's a space . How will you feel if you're trying your very best to board a train/bus , but people stand there stubbornly and not move in ? Pekcek right ? So put yourself in their shoes and do what you like people to do for you ^^ How pleasant would a ride be if everybody is considerate and gracious ? The ride will be a perfect one . And you can also play a part by controlling your noise level . The ride will be very comfortable if there are so many gracious people around , right ? So , moral of the post , be a considerate and gracious commuter . People will love it and appreciate you !
